You can read this calendar without telling us anything. If you subscribe to the Monday email, this is everything we hold, and how to get rid of it.
Who holds it

If you subscribe
We keep five things, and only for as long as the section below says.
- Your email address, to send you the Monday email and nothing else.
- Your nearest town, if you gave one, so the email can start with what is on near you. It is a town from our list, never your actual location.
- The times you signed up and confirmed, and the IP addresses they came from. This is the proof that the subscription was asked for by someone at your address rather than added by a stranger, and the law requires us to be able to show it.
- When the last email went out to you, so a re-run cannot send you the same one twice.
- A secret, carried in your links. The confirm and unsubscribe links in your emails each hold one, and it is how those links know whose subscription they are for. Anyone who has one of your links can unsubscribe you with it.
Nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email, and every email after it carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click. We do not sell, share or rent your address, and we will not email you about anything other than the week’s events.
We rely on your consent to send it, and on our own legitimate interest in being able to prove that consent to keep the record of when you gave it — only for as long as you are subscribed.
What we count
No cookies are set and nothing is written to your browser, so there is no banner to click past. We count pages opened, filters used and dates saved, so we know which parts of the calendar are worth keeping. Nothing in those counts says who you are, and if you have never subscribed there is nothing here that could.
If you have subscribed, three more moments are counted: confirming, leaving, and the Monday email going out. Your address is never sent to the company that counts them — a number that stands for you is sent instead. While you are subscribed that number is one we can trace back to you, so we will not pretend otherwise. It stops leading anywhere the moment you unsubscribe, because what it pointed at is deleted.
How long we keep it
- Unsubscribe, and everything above is deleted immediately. Not marked as gone and kept — deleted. Nothing is held back, so we cannot tell you apart from someone who never subscribed, and neither can anyone who asks us. The copies Resend holds of emails already sent to you are the one exception, and we will ask for those too if you want them gone.
- Until then, we keep it for as long as you want the email.
- Sign up and never click the confirmation link, and the address is deleted within 30 days.
Who else sees it
Four companies handle it on our behalf, under contract, and none of them may use it for anything of their own.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or its deletion. Also to object to us holding it, or to have it sent to you in a portable form. Email tadas@trialscalendar.com and we will answer within a month, at no charge. Ask us to delete you and we pass that on to the four companies above, so their copies go as well as ours. Deletion from our own list needs no reply from us at all — unsubscribing is deletion, the link is at the foot of every email, and the signup page takes it too.
